Description:

Monoclonal antibody (10D4) against the β subunit of human epithelial sodium channel (hENaC). The antibody recognizes the tertiary, 3D epitope of the beta subunit and is characterized as IgG1 with a kappa light chain. It binds with high affinity and specificity to the respective subunits constituting hENaC.

 

Epithelial sodium channels (ENaC) are involved in regulating Na+ homeostasis. ENaCs primarily require three different subunits to form a functional channel, α, β and γ.

Potential uses:

•       purification of human ENaC for structure studies with an ability to purify and study ENaC from recombinant or native source;

•       determination of cellular location of the heterotrimeric ENaC by immunohistochemistry or immunocytochemsitry;

•       live detection of hENaC subunits in vivo following immunofluorescence labeling;

•       application for immunoprecipitation of intact heteromeric ENaC; and

•       identification of human ENaC protein-expressing cells.
