Technology Overview
The iPancreas software will enable researchers to rapidly develop a custom artificial pancreas (i.e. automated delivery of insulin and glucagon in response to sensed glucose) smart phone app utilizing their own artificial pancreas control algorithms and user interfaces. The OHSU software is capable of generating an app that can run on a smart phone and execute the functionality of an artificial pancreas. Use of the iPancreas software will allow researchers to develop a customized application for their own specific uses.
