Technology Description

This technology describes using uniformly thin polycaprolactone coated polymer as a bonding agent to enclose various microchannels made with hard polymer, including but not limited to PMMA,PC, PEI and PETE.

The technology could also be applied to connect any hard polymer ports/headers to the aforementioned microchannels. The convenient, low cost and versatility technique makes it useful for both rapid prototyping and mass production of polymer-based microfluidic devices operating at ambient temperature that could withstand 1,500 psi.
